A potential new drug target for high-grade meningiomas - drugdiscovery.com

Researchers from Johns Hopkins have found that a protein called NY-ESO-1 is present in nearly 100 percent of high-grade meningiomas, the most common form of brain tumor. This makes it a potential new target for cancer therapies. This protein is already at the center of a clinical trial underway at the National Cancer Institute for other types of tumors.
