Sammy Sosa's Skin Lightening - drugdiscovery.com
In 2009, ex baseball player, Sammy Sosa, was widely recognized by the newly lightened color of his skin. Despite the mass publicity of his big change, and many rumors which followed, Sammy Sosa has still to this day kept quiet about how exactly he was able to change his color so drastically. Over the span of years, Sosa's skin became paler and paler, giving many people different suspicions as to what was actually happening at the time.

Some argued for Sosa's sake and in his defense that his new coloration was a direct result of some sort of skin disease or condition, though Sosa stated publicly that there was no illness or skin disorder involved. Others tried to proclaim that due to his past steroid use, he had acquired unwanted side effects. One such side effect in mind was Vitiligo, a pigmentation problem caused by steroid use. Vitiligo is known to create patchy discoloring of pigment on the skin, inside of the mouth, in the eyes, and the hair. Since Sammy Sosa was tested positive for steroid use in 2003, many jumped on this idea, believing it to be true. That is, until Sosa himself began to speak.

Sammy Sosa first claimed to be going through a skin rejuvenation treatment, which unexpectedly lightened the color of his skin. However, later on, Sammy Sosa finally admitted to using a bleaching cream to lighten his skin.

The only mystery remaining? What cream did he use?

Perhaps Sammy Sosa had a reason for not disclosing certain bits of information, however, that does not change the fact that we may never know exactly what was used to so thoroughly lighten Sammy Sosa Skin. While Sammy Sosa may very well have taken part in cosmetic surgery on top of using a bleaching cream, there is also a possibility that he used only the lightening cream.

Since it's not exactly possible to say exactly what cream was the cause for Sammy Sosa skin, it might make sense to take a look at the possible "suspects", also known as skin lightening creams that have the potential to whiten the skin of Sammy Sosa.

One lightening cream that may have worked would be Ambi Fade Cream, a triple action lightener that also helps to rid skin of dark spots or freckles. This cream has strong lightening qualities, making it one very potent product.

Another possibility is the Barielle skin lightening cream, which is actually an over the counter cream and contains high quality ingredients to create a massive change in dark skin.

Other highly rated skin creams include Clinique Even Better Skin Tone Corrector, Crystal Clear Skin Brightening Complex, Esoterica Fade, Gluta-C Skin Cream (which actually can rid the skin of birth marks), Glyquin XM, Godiva LicoWhite, Makari De Suisse, Nur76 (which is also used to erase pregnancy marks), Palmer's Skin Success Eventone Fade Cream, PharmaClinix Lightenex (which is also used for hyperpigmentation), Proactiv Skin Lightening Lotion, Revitol Skin Brightener, Shiseido White Lucent (which may also be used for acne), SkinBright Skin Brightener, Tri-Luma, Vikki Lamota's Perfect Skin Lightener (which is said to be the most safe due to being all natural), Xtend-Life's Whitening Day Cream (which is also used as an anti-aging cream), and of course the most popular skin lightening cream, Meladerm Skin Lightener. Meladerm is the most popular amongst those who use lightening creams because of the ingredients, safety during use, and research that went into creating this cream. The list is quite long, however, by no means is this list including of all whitening skin creams out there. Though Sammy Sosa may have used a cream not included in this list, these creams are the most highly rated and therefore have the potential to be recognized by those in the spotlight.

Other ways are possible to lighten skin however. For example, surgeries are often used for lightening or whitening of the skin through either freezing methods, called cryosurgery, or laser peels. Cryosurgery is perhaps the most extreme skin lightening treatment there is, involving liquid nitrogen to freeze skin. Laser peel surgeries are often used in repetition, since the patients skin does not always continue to stay the shade or tone that they had after the first surgery.

There are also many other products, methods, and concoctions for skin lightening, such as skin whitening pills, which causes the skin to rid itself of free-radicals and oxidants, which later results in lighter skin tone. There are also skin lightening soaps along with various amounts of home skin whitening remedies.

Despite the vast variety of skin lightening products, we may never know what Sammy Sosa himself did to create the light skin tone that he did. However, if one decides to lighten their skin just as Sosa did, the large list of products can be found simply.
